THE ORIGINS OF THÉLIOS
The name “Thélios” is the synthesis of the names of the Greek gods Theia, goddess of light and sight, and Helios, god of the sun.
Founded in 2017, Thélios was born from the will of LVMH Group, world leader in luxury, to enter the eyewear sector. Thélios designs, produces and distributes sunglasses and optical frames for some of its most prestigious Maisons: Dior, Fendi, Celine, Givenchy, Loewe, Stella McCartney, Kenzo and Fred.
THE MANIFATTURA THÉLIOS
With its Manifattura, located in Longarone, Italy, Thélios blends the distinct identity of each Maison with Italian craftsmanship to create exceptional luxury eyewear.
Inaugurated in 2018, Thélios operates a 20,000 square meters production site in Longarone.
We employ highly skilled artisans in our Manifattura, along with talented professionals in our cross-functional teams. Worldwide, Thélios employs over 1.100 employees.

With our parent company LVMH, world leader in luxury, Thélios aims to elevate the eyewear category by brining luxury expertise to the sector. Thélios brings in the codes and best practices from the luxury industry, making eyewear a true luxury product, in line with the Maisons’ standard of excellence.
Close collaboration with the Maisons
We work hands in hands with the Group’s Maisons to fully integrate the eyewear in the core category collection. Based in Paris, our designers and product managers are dedicated to a single Maison. We are doing our best to express each Maison’s brand universe in the most genuine and powerful manner.

Respecting the high standards of Italian craftsmanship, the Manifattura Thélios stands for “Made in Italy” at every stage of production. Located at the foot of the Dolomites, our Manifattura smoothly combines traditional Italian craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology.
We are selling luxury eyewear in a luxury environment. Consumer experience is at the heart of our effort, aiming to make the category evolve towards a better consumer journey. This comes with appealing visual merchandising concepts, allowing the clients to immerse themselves in the Maisons’ creative universe.
Our goal is to be present on the best shelves, in the best windows of the best doors worldwide. We select our retail partners based on qualitative criteria through regular audits at each point of sale. By these measures we assure our Maisons the best possible environment for the distribution of their products, while protecting our existing retailers’ network.
